The goal of this course is to provide a forum for students to develop the skills needed to conduct independent research and write a capstone thesis that integrates the knowledge gained in all courses in the Drexel Dissertations in Technology Management program. A variety of dissertation formats are available for exploration and discussion, including one written by each student. In addition, students will participate in discussions, develop professional relationships with faculty advisors, and work with technology management professionals to understand their research needs. The Dissertation/Capstone Intensive (DRWI 8500) is a required component of the doctoral degree. It is designed to provide a structured environment for graduate students to explore their research interests in depth and through peer-review. It is also an opportunity for those students who have completed the requirements for the Ph.D. degree in ECE to present and defend their dissertations in a public forum.
Formal presentation of the dissertation as well as an oral examination is required before a decision can be made
